CDC is working with state partners to notify hatcheries about these links to educate new poultry owners and help control the spread of Salmonella at hatcheries. Outbreak strains so far include Salmonella Enteritidis (32 people), Mbandaka (19 people), and Saintpaul (133 people). More than one quarter (28%) of the victims are children under the age of 5 years. @ https://www.cdc.gov/salmonella/outbreaks/saintpaul-04-26/index.html
