As of June 15, 2026, six requeson cheese samples and one environmental sample collected by the Maryland Department of Health tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes and matched the outbreak strain. On June 24, 2026, a second environmental sample collected by Maryland state partners from Clover Hill Dairy, LLC, also tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes and matched the outbreak strain. The FDA has been notified of additional companies that have issued recalls or public notifications for products linked to the recall at Clover Hill Dairy, LLC. On June 26, 2026, La Ceiba Foods Latin Market Inc issued a recall announcement for requeson cheese that was repackaged as Requesón Salvadoreño (Ricotta Style Salvadorean Cheese) and Requesón Mexicano (Mexican Cottage Cheese) products marketed under the La Colonia and Selectos Latinos brands and distributed to supermarkets, retail stores, and restaurants in the states of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C between 05/11/2026-06/01/2026.
