In Canada, Shaikh Al Kar Plain Halva was recalled due to Salmonella

In Canada, according to the CFIA,  Greenworld Foods Express Inc. recalled Shaikh Al Kar brand Plain Halva in November 2025 due to potential Salmonella contamination. The product was sold in 400-gram plastic tubs and had a best-by date of Feb. 4, 2027. The Halva was distributed in Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.
