The CFIA has announced a recall of organic Chia seeds due to a possible Salmonella contamination. A recall in another country triggered the recall. There is no mention of the other country. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product. Left Coast Organics Organic Chia Seeds (900g, UPC 625691210349) with Best Before dates of Nov 13, 2026, or Nov 14, 2026. The Chia seeds were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.
