In Quebec, MAPAQ, in collaboration with Fremya Foods (250 Lachapelle Boulevard in Saint-Jérôme), is advising the public not to consume chicken nuggets unless they have been cooked beforehand. The product label does not include the information necessary for safe consumption, namely that it is a raw product and that it requires safe cooking instructions. The product was offered for sale in several establishments in Quebec until April 14, 2026. The product was packaged in a clear plastic bag and sold frozen. The company is recalling the product. They have agreed with the Ministry to issue this warning as a precautionary measure. Furthermore, anyone who has this product in their possession is advised to cook it thoroughly before consuming it. The safe internal cooking temperature for poultry products is 74 degrees Celsius.
