As of July 30, Michigan reported 10,773 cases linked to the cyclosporiasis outbreak, up 387 from the previous day, the state health department said in its latest update. Cases of the intestinal infection have risen steadily across the U.S., with the outbreak resulting in 193 hospitalizations. No deaths have been reported. The CDC reported that, as of July 27, 2026, the total number of cases includes approximately 475 cases that were not previously reported to MDHHS due to delayed laboratory reporting. These cases do not reflect a sudden increase in illnesses. Since May 1, 2026, CDC has received reports of 6,707 laboratory-confirmed domestic cases of cyclosporiasis. The CDC is aware of more than 11,500 additional cases that are not laboratory confirmed or require further investigation and analysis, such as ruling out international travel. Many of the additional cases have been reported by Michigan and Ohio. @ https://www.michigan.gov/mdhhs/keep-mi-healthy/infectious-diseases/infectious-disease-outbreaks
