Core update as of June 10, 2026

The CORE update lists five outbreak and adverse event postings. A new outbreak of  Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1378) linked to an unidentified product has been added to the table. The FDA has initiated a traceback. The outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (ref #1380) linked to requeson/soft ricotta cheese, the FDA has initiated sampling. On June 9, 2026, the FDA updated the Outbreak advisory to include a downstream recall and provide sampling updates. Based on epidemiological information collected by the CDC, a total of 9 people infected with the outbreak strain of Listeria have been reported across 3 states. There have been 8 hospitalizations and one death reported. The outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1375) linked to an unidentified product has increased the case count from 7 to 8.
