Core update as of July 22, 2026

The CORE update lists 16 outbreaks and adverse event postings. A new outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1392) linked to an unidentified product has been added to the table. FDA has initiated traceback. A new outbreak of Salmonella Javiana (ref #1395) linked to an unidentified product has been added to the table. FDA has initiated traceback. A new outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (ref #1379) linked to an unidentified product has been added to the table. FDA has initiated traceback and an inspection. The outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1390) linked to iceberg lettuce; FDA updated the outbreak advisory with investigational updates and information about Taylor Farms de Mexico recalling iceberg lettuce. Taylor Fresh Foods distributed recalled iceberg products from June 29 through July 16 in AL, AR, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NH, NJ, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WI. Recalled Marketside-brand iceberg products were sold at select Walmart stores in: AL, AR, FL, GA, IN, KS, KY, LA, MO, MS, OK, TN, TX, VA, WV. Any Taco Bell locations that received recalled iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico, including at least IN, KY, MI, OH, and WV. Additional states may be added to this advisory as more information becomes available. Taco Bell has indicated they are no longer using lettuce from Taylor Farms. The outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1385), the case count has increased from 8 to 10 cases. The outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg (ref #1387) linked to an unidentified product, the case count has increased from 69 to 81 cases. For the outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis (ref #1378) linked to an unidentified product, the case count has increased from 91 to 96 cases. FDA has initiated an inspection and sampling. The outbreak of Cyclospora (ref #1381) linked to an unidentified food, the outbreak is over.
