Core update as of December 23, 2025

The CORE update list of outbreaks and adverse events includes six postings. The outbreak of infant botulism (ref #1350) linked to infant formula, the outbreak advisory was updated on December 17, 2025, to address current case counts and investigation updates. Reports of cases linked to this outbreak have slowed, and public health officials have not added any new cases to this investigation. Currently, there are 51 illnesses, 51 hospitalizations, and no deaths. The outbreak of Salmonella Saintpaul (ref #1353) linked to an unidentified product, the case count has increased from 50 to 53. The outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg (ref #1328) linked to alpha sprouts; the Executive Incident Summary can now be accessed by clicking the reference number. This outbreak investigation was moved to the Closed 2025 Table. The outbreak of Salmonella Anatum (ref #1312) linked to sprouted beans, the Executive Incident Summary can now be accessed. This outbreak investigation was moved to the Closed 2025 Table. The Executive Incident Summary for the Salmonella Enteritidis outbreak (ref #1301) linked to eggs is now available.
