CDFA announces the recall of Hanford Jack cheeses made by Fagundes Old World Cheese of Kings County due to Listeria

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) issued a statewide recall for Fagundes Old World Cheese Hanford Jack Cabernet Jack Cheese due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Hanford Jack Cabernet Jack Cheese, produced and packaged by Fagundes Old World Cheese of Kings County, is the subject of a statewide recall. The CDFA detected the bacteria during routine testing at the manufacturing facility. The order applies to Fagundes Old World Cheese, Hanford Jack Cabernet Jack Cheese” sold in varying weights of approximately half-pound to one-pound (0.50 to 1.00 lb.) wedges packaged in clear plastic wrapping marked on the back with the lot code 031226, a “Packed On” date of 05.06.26, and a “Sell By” date of 05.05.27. @ https://pressreleases.cdfa.ca.gov/Home/PressRelease/68857487
