Albright’s Raw Pet Food recalled select chicken recipe for dogs due to Salmonella

The FDA reported in a press release that, on May 6, 2026, Albright’s Raw Pet Food of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is voluntarily recalling, out of an abundance of caution, one lot of its Chicken Recipe for Dogs Complete and Balanced because this lot may be contaminated with Salmonella. The products being recalled are sold as frozen 1 lb. bricks in clear vacuum packaging and are generally distributed in 30 lb. cases. The lots were distributed directly to consumers nationwide, to a small number of select retailers in MA, CA, SC, NC, WI, and NY, and through direct online sales. No illnesses associated with these lots have been confirmed or reported. This recall follows routine FDA sampling, during which product samples were tested for Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, and Escherichia coli; the lot identified above was reported as positive for Salmonella in 1 composite sample. The FDA said the company distributed the dog food product directly to consumers nationwide and to a small number of select retail stores in Massachusetts, California, South Carolina, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and New York. No confirmed illnesses have been reported yet in connection with this recall. @ https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/albrights-raw-pet-food-announces-voluntary-recall-select-chicken-recipe-dogs-complete-and-balanced-1
